Budget Tip: Don’t Waste Your Money on a Travel Voltage Converter

We fell for this when we first started traveling to Britain – we bought an expensive power/voltage converter for electrical devices. While there many be instances where this is useful, we have never used it and threw it away long ago to free up the luggage space.

Britain however, does use different plugs than the USA or the rest of the world – using the three prong system. We recommend picking up a couple of cheap adapters at Wal-mart or Target. They will be all you need.

Most electronic devices can convert the power already – most computers and laptops do this – and smaller devices all have standard chargers these days anyway. So, learn from our mistake and don’t buy the voltage converter, you just won’t need it.
